This year, after corona, influenza is such a disease that is taking people under its grip. In such a situation, it is most important that you take both the diseases seriously and recognize its symptoms. It is very important to get treatment for both these diseases in time. One thing is very common in both. That is, both COVID-19 and influenza H3N2 cause shortness of breath.  There is a lot of cough in influenza.  If the symptoms of both the diseases are seen then the same thing is seen. But only small features of both make them different from each other. 

Common symptoms in COVID-19 and common flu

Fever, chills, body aches, headache and fatigue are common in Covid-19 and influenza. Itchy throat leading to swelling followed by dry severe cough and runny or stuffy nose are the main symptoms of flu. The new variant Omicron of Kovid-19 can cause breathlessness, especially in people who have asthma disease. Cough can usually be dry. Whereas cough can be prolonged in both H3N2 and prolonged Kovid-19. Other symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea and respiratory tract infection may occur. If a person has both these diseases and that person already has  bronchitis, pneumonia or other serious illness, then their condition may worsen. By the way, people may have to be admitted to the hospital and help with oxygen. 

Disparity between common flu and coronavirus

However, there are many small differences between the influenza virus (including H3N2) and the disease causing COVID-19 that doctors can easily pick up by testing. COVID-19 infection is more common in young adults and older persons, whereas influenza tends to strike people younger than 8 years and older than 65 years. 
Onset of influenza symptoms 1-4 Happens within days. Whereas it may take 2-14 days for the symptoms of Kovid-1 to appear. By the time you know that Kovid-19 has happened, you do not know how many people it has made sick.

Symptoms of H3N2 influenza:-

Influenza has a low-grade fever (between 99-101o F) compared to COVID-19.

Fatigue is more in Kovid-19 than in flu. In Kovid-19, the smell or taste completely disappears, whereas this does not happen in influenza. Influenza also has diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. There is a complaint in breathing in both the diseases. But Kovid 19 can also cause death.
